About Us

The Black Women In Law Association (BWLA) at York University aims to uplift and empower Black women pursuing law careers and other related legal fields. By fostering a supportive community, BWLA provides tools for holistic growth through mentorship, networking, and resources. Our goal is to propel Black women into leadership roles, advocacy, and mentorship positions within the legal profession, while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
