We are the YAMA Anime and Manga Association at York University, proud winners of the 23/24 SCLD Awards for 'Outstanding Outreach & Engagement' and 'Partnerships & Collaborations'! Established in 1996, we are one York's oldest and most vibrant social clubs. For over 25 years, our mission has stayed the same: providing a safe, inclusive space for fans of anime to connect and thrive together.
Anime is just the start! We embrace all our members' passions, from cosplay and fashion to gaming, art, music, pop culture, and beyond. Join us for our weekly anime showings, and a variety of regular events and activities designed to bring our community together.
Don't forget our special events such as karaoke nights, flea markets, cosplay crew, game nights; online-exclusives, such as art events, gaming tournaments, and PowerPoint nights; or our regular activities and meetups such as art meets, manga club, anime exchanges and more!
Sound interesting? Join in on the fun by grabbing a membership at our tabling or showings. Memberships are $15 for a full year or $10 per semester — card and cash accepted!
